Heating Explained is a quick reference for gas engineers in the UK. Look up a boiler by make, model or GC number and get the combustion figures and the steps for putting it into high and low rate, without digging through a 60-page PDF on site.

Who runs it

Heating Explained is run by someone who works in the UK heating industry and got tired of hunting through manuals on site for the same few figures.

Where the figures come from

Every figure and every set of steps is taken from the manufacturer’s installation and servicing instructions for that boiler. Each boiler page names the manual, its document number and the sections used, so you can check it against the copy you have.

Where a figure or step hasn’t been added yet, the page says so and points to the section of the manual to use. Nothing is estimated or filled in from other boilers.

Manuals are revised and mistakes happen. If something doesn’t match the MI in front of you, or you want a boiler added, get in touch.
