Vaillant Checked against MI

Vaillant ecoMAX pro heat only (18 E, 28 E)

Heat only condensing boiler, natural gas

Combustion figures

FigureNatural gas (G20)
CO₂ at high rate
More infoHide infoRate not stated in MI. Section 17 gives one figure, Burner % CO₂ 9.0 +/-0.2, for both the 18 E and 28 E without saying at which rate, so it is shown in both CO₂ rows. Measured at the combustion analyser test point on the flue adaptor (section 14.1, Fig. 14.4). The MI says the boiler is supplied ready adjusted and no further gas adjustments are necessary (section 13.5).
9.0% ± 0.2
CO₂ at low rate
More infoHide infoRate not stated in MI. Same single figure as the high rate row (section 17, Burner % CO₂).

Working inlet pressure
More infoHide infoWith the boiler firing at full rate, at least 10 minutes after the burner has lit (section 13.5). No tolerance given. Section 4.3 asks for a steady inlet working pressure of 20 mbar at the boiler, and section 17 gives 20 mbar as the inlet gas working pressure required, without saying where it is measured.
Gas valve test point
20 mbar
Gas rate at maximum
More infoHide infoApproximate gas rates, checked at least 10 minutes after the burner has lit (section 13.5). Section 17 prints the same maximum gas rates, and minimum gas rates of 0.48 (18 E) and 0.52 (28 E), but with the unit given as mbar.
18 E
1.81 m³/h
28 E
2.7 m³/h
