Vaillant ecoTEC plus system (612, 615, 618, 624, 630, 637)
System boiler, natural gas and LPG
Combustion figures
| Figure | Natural gas (G20) | LPG (G31) |
|---|---|---|
CO₂ at high rate More infoHide infoAfter 5 minutes in full load mode (test program P.1), measured at the flue gas analysis point. If adjustment is needed, set it to the front removed figure (MI 7.1.4). |

Maximum CO More infoHide infoAt full load. | < 250 ppm | < 250 ppm |
CO/CO₂ ratio | < 0,0031 | < 0,0026 |

Working inlet pressure More infoHide infoThe NG lines are for the gas valve test point (the reference test point: sealing screw marked in on the gas valve), measured at full load in test program P.1. The MI also asks for the gas pipework to be sized so 20 mbar is available at the boiler inlet at full flow rate (MI 4.9), the technical data gives the inlet gas working pressure required as 20 mbar NG and 37 mbar LPG with no measurement point (MI 2.1), and the fault finding checks say 20 mbar should be available at the gas valve (MI 8.1). |

|
Gas rate at maximum More infoHide infoNominal rate with the +5% and −10% tolerance limits (Table 5.1). Measured at the gas meter after at least 5 minutes in test program P.1, with all other gas appliances off. Table 5.1 gives propane rates for every size, but only the 618 and 630 are listed in LPG. The technical data gives a rounded NG connected load at 15 °C and 1013 mbar: 1.3, 1.6, 1.9, 2.6, 3.2, 4.0 m³/h (MI 2.1). |

|
Flue integrity More infoHide infoChecked with the flue gas analyser at the air measure point; strongly recommended where the flue is longer than 2 m. If any CO or CO₂ is found, find and correct the flue gas leak or recirculation; if it can’t be corrected, don’t start the boiler (MI 5.9.1). | No CO or CO₂ in the fresh air | No CO or CO₂ in the fresh air |

Check these figures against the MI for the appliance in front of you, matched by GC number and manual date. Combustion work needs a calibrated analyser and a Gas Safe registered engineer.
